Amsterdam (on a shoe-string)
Over the past couple of years I have made
many trips to Amsterdam to visit the swingers clubs, and generally have fun.
I have been asked many times about
the best way to get there, where to stay, and which clubs to visit.
I cannot say that my preferences are
the best, simply the way and places I have so far found to be the best.
Getting there
I have flown out every time so far,
all but once from Luton airport on Easyjet ( http://www.easyjet.com
). If you book at least 4 weeks in advance you can often get great prices on seats.
They have early flights which means you can go direct from the club to the
airport if you want to save a nights hotel bills!
Car Hire
Taxi's are very expensive -
the best way to travel in Holland is by Car - the cost of a taxi from the clubs
to almost any hotel at 4am is prohibitive.
The best deal I have found so far is
Easy Rent a Car ( http://www.easyrentacar.com
). A class A Mercedes for just £9 a day!! You catch a 15 minute train ride and
a 3 minute walk from the airport to reach their offices, but its worth it to get
an almost brand new, quality car for such a good price.
Staying
I used to stay at the Ibis hotel at
the airport, but the last few times I have stayed in a better quality hotel for
less!. I stay at the Carlton President in Utrecht ( http://www.carltonhotels.com
) select the language you want, then select the President, then select
Breakaway. A 3 day, 2 night stay is about £45 per person. The price includes 2
free, return Train tickets to Amsterdam and a taxi to the Train Station.
The hotel is 27 miles (a 25 minute
drive) from Fun4Two and 22 miles (or a 30 minute drive) from Central Amsterdam
(the central railway station).
Clubs
So far I have spent most time in Fun4Two (
). This is because it is so good everyone I take there wants to go back the
second night as well as the first! You will need
to take a passport as ID to become a member. The club is for couples and triples
only. Read the club reviews for more details.
I have also visited Amouret club in
Utrecht, this is a 10 minute drive from the Carlton hotel, so makes an ideal
second night location.
I have been told that Paradise club
is excellent (
).
There are several other clubs in
Amsterdam and the surrounding areas that are reviewed in the club review pages
on this site ( ).
Drugs
Being a non user I don't know much
about them, except that they are not legal in Holland, however the use of Pot is
"tolerated" in Amsterdam itself.
The best place to buy and use it is in the numerous "Coffee shops" in
the streets surrounding the Central Station. Hard drugs, e's etc are not
available in the coffee shops, you take the same risks acquiring and using them
in Holland as you do in the UK. The clubs are drug free zones.
